2003 Pontiac Montana Low Engine Oil Level?
I have a 2003 Pontiac Montana. Occasionally on start the Message Center show Low Engine Oil Level although this is an obviously false indication. The sensor has been replaced with no success. My local GM dealer recommended a module replacement for about $500 cost - pull the dash, replace the module, etc. I've searched the net for others who have experienced this problem, but have had no success. Does anyone have a recommendation to either fix the problem or disable the faulty message from being displayed? don
this is typical, as some one answered earlier the sensor will not always be soaked in oil, if the warning indicator goes out after idling for about 20 seconds or so it may be working properly, the design of the sensor is what you must keep in mind, i also agree that your dealership should not have thrownparts at it
